About War of the Roses Pt II Curses and Queens
War of the Roses Pt II: Curses & Queens is a continuation of the saga of the Yorks and Lancasters we began last summer. The story centers on Richard III's rise and fall from power. Margaret of Anjou is still fighting and though she loses her power, she still has her words. Elizabeth Grey marries Edward of York and unexpectedly finds herself Queen of a fractured England--until Anne (Warwick's youngest daughter) takes her place reluctantly. We invite you to join us to see this tale through twists and turns to the end of the war and the beginning of the Tudor dynasty.
This year ATTP is excited to bring you performances at Quimby Park in Sandwich AND on the trails at Castle in the Clouds. Park performances will be our traditional set up--bring a chair, bring a picnic, and enjoy the beauty of Center Sandwich. Trails performances offer a little more adventure--audience members will walk 1/3 mile to the performance starting location and move with the performers a few times throughout the show to end the play by the trailhead. For trails performances audience can bring a chair--but know that you'll be moving it a few times during the show. Trails performances will have no intermission, but concessions and merch will be available at the Box Office before and after the show.
Content note: This play includes several depictions of violence and death, as well as scenes of grief and mourning. This includes references to harm done to children. Please contact Lucy Randall-Tapply at [email protected] if you would prefer further specifics.
